How long has your company been in business?

SoY Lovely has been in business for almost one year. Before "being in business" I was making soy candles as a hobby (to feed my own habit) and then I started making candles for my friends and family, then I started selling candles at local craft shows and in February of 2008 I launched soylovely.com.

Tell us about your company and products:

Well, SoY Lovely was born from an obsession with candles and a love for natural and earth friendly products. It is a one woman operation located in Long Island, New York and run by me, Laurel Torres, (a true candle fanatic). Laurel individually hand-crafts each candle and melt from the finest ingredients: 100% Soy Wax, Botanical Oils, Lead-Free Cotton Wicks, Premium Uncut Fragrances (many soy based) and essential oils. Candles are available either au natural -dye-free- or in a variety of colors derived from vegetable based and pigment free dyes and have been tested to ensure a clean, soot-free burn and fabulous scent throw. Customer satisfaction is our top priority and we aim to please!

SoY Lovely offers various candles from tealights and travel tins to elegant glass jar candles and highly fragrant soy wax melts, custom favors and gift sets all of which come beautifully packaged! We just introduced our SoY Whipped! Body Butter and our SoY Lovely Lip Balm.

What is your Top Selling product?

Our top selling product is definitely our SoY Lovely Melts! Melts are a great and economical way to sample a new scent (and an awesome way to fragrance your home). Our SoY Lovely Melts are sold as a package of 2 for $1.99 and since our melts are larger than standard melts/tarts (at approximately 1.5 oz. each) it's a great deal. Our second best selling product is our SoY Elegant Candle, which is a 12 oz., double wicked, elegant glass jar candle.
